Jaguar 120 Restoration

This is a Total Jaguar Restoration. This Jaguar has been stripped
and examined in order to determine the best direction to execute
this project. Below is the engine with the boxed and cataloged parts
inventory of this car.

A bit of history about this Jaguar, which had a great life in the 1950's.
When the engine was removed in the late 1950's the body remained
exposed to the elements in the back yard protected only with a blue tarp.
All and all not a great way to preserve a Jaguar treasure, but its not too
far gone either.

K&T Vintage Sports cars will bring it back to its former glory.

The closer you get to the "center" of a restoration production, you may
encounter rust, previous work, or hidden missin sections.

Here the parts from this Jaguar are cataloged and moved  to a cleaning
and refurbishing area. Careful handling and inventor of parts is given.
An uncovered fender reveals a bit more corruption on the frame that will
need cleaning and mending.

You are looking at a lower section of this Jaguar, the fender.
The body was dipped in a chemical solution that dissolves rust.
It is the only way to completely eliminate the rust in areas that are inaccessible.
Rust this severe requires careful handling. All of these exposed areas need
a protective coating to prevent the rust from reappearing immediately after
this chemical treatment.

After the rust is removed, and parts that are beyond repair are removed,
new metal replaces the corruption. Shown here is the same fender on a different
angle to illustrate how much work and craftsmanship goes into restoring this
Jaguar.

The engine in its craddle is getting, amoung other things, new motor mounts. Having the engine out is an opportunity to overhaul
and /or repair defects.
